What Now? with Scott Duffy: Frank Shankwitz – Anyone Can Be A Hero

Frank Shankwitz was one of the founders of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. An organization that has fulfilled over 450,000 wishes for people and youth who are ill.

In this episode Frank discusses his extreme hardships being a WW2 baby, all of the incredible obstacles that he experienced, and how he overcame them. He talks about the inspiration and the construction of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the most popular wishes, and how anyone can be a hero. Unfortunately Frank passed away in early 2021, after granting 450,000 wishes he was asked what his wish was. Frank’s wish was to have his story told, and for people to know that if he could do what he has done with the circumstances he was given, that anyone can. We hope you enjoy this episode in memory of Frank Shankwitz.
